Job Title: Children’s Ministry director

Job Description:

The Boise Church Children’s Director shall serve the families of the church by leading a loving, thriving and joyful ministry.  The success of children’s ministry is one of the major factors to effectively grow families inside and outside the church.  This ministry is crucial to a healthy, vibrant and loving community.  

Pastoral Overseer: Scott Billings

Flat Monthly Rate:

1 Sunday school class - $600/month, ~20 hrs/month

2 Sunday school classes - $900/month, ~30 hrs/month

Effective hourly rate: $30/hr

*As the Lord grows Boise Church with either additional classes or service responsibilities, then compensation shall be adjusted accordingly.

Allowable Vacation/Sick Sundays Per Year: 6*     

*Easter Sunday not available for vacation

Objectives:

·       Love the children and parents of Boise Church and community

·       Share the Gospel and provide Biblical instruction in a joyful and memorable way

·       Build a vibrant children’s ministry and integrate with the larger church community

·       Create a loving and capable kids ministry team

·       Provide Biblical support for parents and families as needed

·       Maintain Boise Church’s welcoming environment, style and visual brand.

Responsibilities:

·       Regularly pray personally for the children, parents and Boise Church

·       Recruit, onboard, train and schedule volunteers

·       Implement curriculum for infant through 5th grade, including purchasing supplies, organizing, printing and communication for each class

·       Maintain children’s area cleanliness and organization as needed

·       Responsible to stay within children’s ministry annual budget and maintain receipts

·       Communicate with parents and church community regularly

·       Lead a class as needed

·       Attend Sunday service minimum once/month and stay engaged with teachings online

·       Attend online weekly leadership prayer meeting, 30 mins

·       Attend monthly leadership meeting, second Sunday of each month

·       Lead/coordinate annual VBS outreach (optional)
